Spicy Imli Chutney (Spicy Tamarind Sauce)

Ingredients
Imli (Tamarind) 150 grams
Water 2 cups
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds 1 tablespoon
Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
Chili Powder 1 teaspoon
Sugar 1 teaspoon
Instructions
Soak the tamarind in 2 cups of warm water for about half an hour.
When it is softened, transfer to a pan and bring to boil.
Add salt, Cumin seeds, cumin powder and chili powder.
Cook until the water evaporates and the sauce becomes thick.
When it is ready add sugar, mix and cook for another minute.
Take it off the heat.
Strain through a mesh to get rid of the seeds.
Imli ki chutney is ready! Enjoy with tamarind kabab.
