Salt to tastechicken cubes also contain salt so add accordingly
Spinach 2 cupswashed and drained.
Garam Masala 3/4 tsp
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Instructions
Wash and soak the lentils in water.
Meanwhile, heat Clarified Butter (Desi Ghee) in a pot and add sliced onions. Once translucent add ginger and garlic paste and green chilies. Cook until the raw smell goes off.
Now add chopped tomatoes, cover and cook until tomatoes are cooked.
Now add chicken cubes, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt (if needed).
Cook for 1 minute until aromatic.
Add lentils and 3-4 cups of water.
Cover and allow to cook on low heat until the lentils are all cooked.
Now add spinach and cook for another 5-8 minutes until the spinach is blanched in the dal.
Lastly, add garam masala, coriander powder and cumin powder. Mix and turn of the flame and cover for 1 minute.
