Ingredients
Oil 1 tbsp
Onion 2 tbsp
chopped
Boiled and shredded chicken 1 cup
Green bell pepper 4 tbsp
chopped
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
Oregano 1 tsp
Plain flour 1 tbsp
Milk 3/4 cup
Cheese slice 1
Butter 2 tbsp
Fresh cream 2 tbsp
Bread slices 8
Topping
Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup
Oregano a pinch
Bell pepper 1 tsp
chopped
Instructions
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion. Sauté until soft.
Add boiled and shredded chicken, chopped bell pepper, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and oregano. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Add plain flour and sauté on low flame until you can smell the aroma of the plain flour.
Now add milk and cook on low flame until the sauce thickens.
Add cheese slice, butter and mix until the cheese melts.
Lastly add fresh cream, mix and turn the flame off. The chicken mixture should be creamy at this stage, not too thick, not too runny.
Spread on 4 bread slices and cover with 4 more slices.
Top with mozzarella cheese, chopped bell pepper and oregano.
Bake in the oven at 220 degrees (no need to preheat) using both upper and lower rods for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Enjoy!
