Zaatar Chicken
Ingredients
- Chicken Boneless 1 kg
- Zaatar 1/2 cup
- Olive Oil 1/2 cup
- Lemon Juice 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
- Garlic cloves 8, sliced
- Potatoes 2, cubed
Preparation
- Place chicken breast in a baking casserole.
- In a bowl, add zaatar, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and black pepper powder and mix.
- Add to the chicken and coat well.
- Add some slivered garlic cloves and mix.
- Cover and allow to marinate for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 230°
- Add potatoes to the chicken and coat with the zaatar marinade.
- Bake at 230°C for 40-50 minutes or until the chicken and potatoes are well cooked.
- Take out and cut the chicken breast
- Serve hot with “khubz” with “toum” and “salata haar”.
